Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc.

What is Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc., and what does it aim to achieve?

Driven by an unrelenting desire to harness the extraordinary capacity of microalgae to solve many global challenges, Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc., was founded in 2008 with the goal to create an algae growth system that is energy efficient, commercially scalable, and able to operate independently in all weather extremes.

FACT: Microalgae has been well studied and is known for its many benefits and uses in nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, high protein food and feed products.

FACT: Microalgae also has a long history as a solution for treating wastewater and has been targeted as an ideal biomass feedstock for producing biofuels and bioplastics. The challenge to date has been to produce this valuable biomass cost effectively and in any climate. We like to think that microalgae lead a double life. It can be grown in specifically nutrified water to produce food grade protein biomass used to feed the world, or it can be used to clean liability wastewater and provide biomass for converting to biofuels and organic fertilizers.
What are major upcoming projects for your company/ groundbreaking collaborations?

What are major challenges or milestones Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc. has overcome?

Our algae wastewater treatment technology is often measured against typical/mechanical wastewater treatment facilities. This comparison is tantamount to comparing apples to oranges in terms of the Symbiotic system that offers a return on investment, verses a traditional wastewater treatment system with a sunk infrastructure capital cost and continual operating/maintenance cost structure. We have gained significant global interest from presenting this business model and have recently sold a system to a company in New Zealand.

The Algae Wastewater Treatment and integrated Hydrothermal Liquefaction bio conversion system provides multiple revenue streams from the output of high value products such as biofuels feedstock and organic fertilizer.

We have secured financing for the startup of the initial projects in 2023 and will be purchasing a facility in the near future for the expansion.
