Major developments

This year, Medlior was the recipient of over $500,000 in funding from PrairiesCan alongside other innovative, high-growth Calgary businesses. Medlior will use these funds to scale their team and services to better serve the North American and European markets. Medlior has also been selected to be a part of the business delegation for the Women’s Canada Trade Mission to the United Kingdom in March 2023, where they will look to expand their UK client base and partnerships.

Upcoming events

Next month Medlior will be kicking-off a workshop series on hot topics in health research. First up will be a “Canadian RWE 101” Workshop, introducing clients and collaborators to RWE. Their team of experts will introduce Canadian data sources (including Alberta data) for industry research, provide details on the process and requirements for access, and discuss the latest trends in utilizing this evidence for market access in Canada. They will close with case studies to showcase the research questions and high-quality data that can be used to address a variety of evidence needs.

Medlior will also be exhibiting at the ISPOR 2023 conference in Boston and at ISPOR Europe in Copenhagen later this year.

Overcoming challenges

There’s no question that 2020-2021 posed challenges to businesses, but it also opened new doors for Medlior. They quickly responded to client requests for research into the impacts of COVID-19-related restrictions on healthcare utilization and outcomes, and successfully published the findings. Like others, They pivoted to virtual work and extended their reach, with employees now based across Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.
